Spanish Health System Might Suffer in Economy

February 12th, 2010 by admin

It would be a real shame if the cut backs in Spain caused problems with their hospitals and other areas of health care. At the moment the Spanish health system enjoys a pretty good reputation. But, because of the poor state of the economy it might be that public services will have to work to a much tighter budget. That could result in longer waiting lists for patients to see a specialist, and to get treatment in hospital. I know a lot of Spaniards pay for private health insurance, but with less disposable income some might resort to giving that insurance up because they can no longer afford it.
