Regional Accreditation for Medical Assistant Schools

September 4th, 2010 by admin

Each state or region has an assigned agency or association for the schools’ accreditation. Some of the regional accrediting associations for medical assistant schools are the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA), New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NASC), Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges (NASC) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). These associations are giving institutional accreditation to different schools for medical assistant students in different states. Schools have to pass certain conditions and standards to be able to be granted with the accreditation.
