A bachelor’s diploma in religious studies and philosophy will prepare a person for a job as an teacher or more most often as a religious member at a church. In the US, enfranchisement is not required for theology schools to grant religious AA, BA, MA, or Ph.D degrees. A religious academic degree (AA, BA, MA, or Ph.D) is valid in America. Institutes providing purely spiritual academic degrees are free from from certifying requisites in many states, Seminary subject to specific regulations in each province.
Some theology colleges choose to gain authorization in order to be accepted to grant academic degrees against religious degrees. There are various major certification agencies that specialize in orthodox religious schools. These are the Association for Biblical Higher Education, Association of Advanced Rabbinical and Talmudic Schools, the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada, and the American Board of Theological Institutions (ABTI).
