X Factor star Alexandra Burke has made public that she’s “heartbroken” after her trip to Haiti. The vocalist went to see the devastation caused by the quake. Burke flew out to the state’s capital Port-au-Prince to highlight concern of the struggles faced by the people following the disaster. Alexandra Burke will perform Broken Heels on her next tour. The 21-year-old met miracle boy’ Kiki Joachin, who was saved from rubble after being encircled underground for days. The star also paid a visit to a Save The Youngsters camp, where she played with some of the kids and distributed gifts. She informed the Sun : “The desperateness of so many folks has damaged my heart. Kiki is the gutsiest person I have ever met. “I’m honoured to meet him and to sing on a record which has his picture on the front. Notwithstanding going through hell, he is still here smiling. He is gorgeous. I did not know what to claim to these folks who lost so much.” She added : “You see the misery and annihilation in the papers or on the news, but nothing prepares you for this. “It’s like being punched in the belly. I just hope millions buy the ‘Everybody Hurts’ single. This is a complete country on its knees.” the vocalist has related she’ll return to the country to see the way the donations are being spend. She continued : “I feel truly guilty to get on an aircraft and come home, leaving all of these folk. “But what we’ve seen was spellbinding. I saw children smiling and adults making the best of a bad situation.”
