Leading or Driving

August 28th, 2010 by admin

Are you a leader or a driver? Leadership is not about coercing people into doing your bidding. Anyone can force people to do what they want or it if you have the ability to take away someone’s livelihood you can probably get them to accomplish all kinds of things in play by threatening them. But this isn’t leadership. This isn’t leading. It’s driving. If you want to be a leader you need to focus on leading. That means doing things in a way that people will follow you even if you cannot threaten them. Most people don’t understand this. In particular mid-level managers think Aaron the leadership role when they’re actually just driving people. That’s not to say that they couldn’t become leaders, just the best not how they’re operating. They’re driving methods may work and may be appropriate for the situation, but they shouldn’t delude themselves into thinking that they actually have some leadership skills when there aren’t practicing any form of leadership whatsoever.

To Be a Better Blogger

August 23rd, 2010 by admin

I love writing book reports. I love it because I’m a vigorous reader and I want to share my thoughts, appreciation and sometimes complaints about the book that I just finished reading. Even when I was still in school, I get excited whenever we have a book report project. And now that I’m already working, I maintain a rather known blog that contains my book reviews/reports. If you want to start your own book review blog or corner in the World Wide Web, I urge you to download dictionary. The dictionary can give you a lot of keywords and phrases that you’re going to use to further explain your thoughts and feelings about a particular book.

Bugs In My Room

August 5th, 2010 by admin

What is the deal with these bugs that I have in my room? When I arose up a few days ago, I saw a bedbug bite on various locations on my skin, and they itched really awful. Looking beneath my air mattress, I did find out that my home was ravaged with bedbugs. Since I bought a mattress locally, that might be the culprit - while it might not have been the best idea, I had little money to spend on a large, new bed, so it was my only alternative. Now that I know better, I try to help to make sure everyone I know will not obtain used beds, so that they can stop themselves from getting bitten.

Number of Cases Up

August 4th, 2010 by admin

A noteworthy boost is currently being seen in the number of parvovirus cases every three to five years. The number of cases of the parvovirus is also perceived to be increasing from year to year although it is not very apparent as it only increases very slightly at an annual rate. The parvovirus in humans is also capable of producing epidemics. The last recorded epidemic year of the parvovirus occurred in 1998 affecting millions of people. Outbreaks of the virus can also occur. Parvovirus outbreaks normally take place in nurseries (parvo symptoms) and schools due to a number of reasons. First is because children are more susceptible to viruses and diseases because they have weaker immune systems and second is because children in schools or children in general are more unclean when it comes to hygiene.

Putting the Time to Good Use

August 1st, 2010 by admin

I am going to be spending an extended amount of time out of the country. I really want to put this time to good use. I do not just want to waste it. One of the things that I am thinking about doing is taking spanish courses in granada. I can not think of a better place to take them. I would love to come home and be able to speak the language fluently. I do not know if that is possible in that time frame, but I would like to give it a try. I can not wait to start traveling.
