I had a difficult time finding a window treatment that would fit a large window on the south wall of my family room.  My sister recommended that I check into fabric covered vertical blinds.  I had only considered this type of window treatment for the patio door that goes to the deck.  After installing one, I discovered that they provided great privacy and seemed to collect less dust than the horizontal styles.  Now when I look at the south wall, the window space seems taller with the vertical style and the overall look of the south wall has greatly improved.
