I Don’t Know How She Survived

Most people don’t appreciate their parents until they venture out onto their own. This was even more true of me than of most people, because my mother suffered from depression the whole time I was growing up. However, even in the midst of it she did what she could to take care of us. Things were compounded by the fact that we were too poor to afford a vehicle, and she had to ask for a ride just to go grocery shopping. I only did that for a few days when I moved out before I had to go get a Car Loan and buy myself a vehicle. I really don’t know how she survived all those years with no car.
